Our new Board of Officers for
2014 was recently installed by District 8 Junior District Director, Bethani
Coone (far right). The new Board members
are (from left): President, Lauren
Leahey, Vice President, Amanda Markiewicz, Secretary, Michelle Armstrong, and
Treasurer, Sharon Grace. President,
Lauren Leahey has decided on a theme that is out of this world—“Juniors are
Reaching for the Stars!”
Some of the Pasco Juniors community projects included
writing and sending thank you notes to Honor Flight Veterans, stuffing holiday
stockings for the Salvation Army, making Linus Blankets and donating them to
area hospitals preemie units, planting Pinwheels for Prevention in honor of
child abuse prevention, making “Bags of Hope” to donate to Guardian ad Litem,
and many more.
The club meets from 6:30-8:30, on the first Tuesday of every
month at Seven Oaks Clubhouse, 2910 Sports Core Circle in Wesley Chapel. The next meeting is Tuesday, Feb. 4 at
6:30. We will host a speaker from the
GFWC Lutz-Land o’ Lakes Woman’s Club. She will fill us in on a new project that we are considering working on- making pillowcase dresses for donation to “Little
Dresses for Africa”.
All ladies in the central Pasco areas are welcome to
