GFWC Pasco Junior Women's Club

We had the honor of hosting our annual Mother’s Day event at Sunrise of Pasco domestic violence shelter, A 40 bed house for women and children. This year we serviced about 23 children and their mothers as well as some women without children in the home. Thank you to everyone who donated gently used and new costume jewelry for this event,  it was a wild success! The children all walked away with pride and love in their heart for the gifts they had chosen for their mothers to present them on Mother’s Day. In addition the women were able to shop for their own mothers and grandmothers. Tears came to their eyes when they were also told to please choose something for themselves.  We also were pleased to provide a private massage therapist who gave free chair massages to each of the ladies present.  The therapist donated all of her time and services. So huge shout out to Camille Dwarka Licensed massage therapist 813 486-9371. She has Offices in Wesley Chapel and Land O Lakes. A humbling experience but so worth it, a true example of why we do what we do for our community.  Thank you to all of our donors and all of the clubwomen who work so hard to make this event a success!
