Mother's Day Gifts For Survivors Of Violence

At the end of April 2021, the Pasco Juniors were able to provide hundreds of pieces of jewelry and accessories for the children that are currently taking shelter with Sunrise of Pasco to "shop" from for Mothers day. Sunrise of Pasco Domestic and Sexual Violence Center provides a safe space for those whom have survived violence in their current living situation. Many of these women have children with them and have no safe place to take them. Sunrise of Pasco helps these families receive much needed support as they make their transition to a better life.

The Pasco Juniors have collected hundreds of pieces of jewelry over the years to provide the children with an opportunity to choose something special for their mothers without any limitations or costs to them. Many create a handmade card to show their love and support for their strong survivors and wrap multiple pieces of accessories to bring a smile to their mom's face on this special day. The Pasco Juniors work hand in hand with Sunrise of Pasco to ensure there is no cost to the families for this outreach service.
